MOST (not all of them yet) sound effects have been changed and the new ones have been imported from Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Jam and Sonic R, this is where it all started and you can still get this mod separately here.The game is technically now called Sonic Mania Saturn instead of Mania Plus, even the Encore Mode is now called Saturn Mode (since I personally feel the multiple playable characters and the new zone palettes really fit the Saturn aesthetic).All of the game’s cutscenes have been compressed down to the Saturn’s internal resolution.The game has a new custom intro featuring the Sega Saturn japanese intro, the classic Sega chant and Sonic Jam’s Sonic Team intro!.Button prompts have been changed to resemble the japanese Sega Saturn controller buttons, no matter what controller you’re using.The in-game HUD has been changed to resemble Sonic Xtreme, Sonic R and one of the Sonic Adventure prototypes!.Each menu has now different colors inspired by the checkerboard backgrounds of the menus in games like Sonic R and Sonic Jam!.
